Journal Entry 7
February 10, 2025. Revisions are underway, and the manuscript is starting to shine. It’s incredible how much a story can evolve through editing. Scenes that once felt flat are now coming to life, and characters are finding their true voices.
This phase is teaching me the importance of patience and attention to detail. Every sentence must be scrutinized, every word carefully chosen. It’s meticulous work, but it’s also deeply satisfying to see the story improve with each pass.
I’ve also learned the value of feedback. Sharing my work with trusted readers has provided insights I couldn’t see on my own. Their suggestions and critiques have been invaluable in shaping the narrative.
Editing is a humbling experience. It’s a reminder that the first draft is just the beginning, a foundation upon which the real work is built. I’m discovering new layers to my characters and uncovering deeper themes within the story.
As I polish each chapter, I’m growing more attached to this world I’ve created. It’s becoming a part of me, and I’m eager to share it with others.
The journey is far from over, but with each edit, I’m getting closer to the final vision of my novel.
