The Call

July 1, 2025. Today, I received “the call.” An agent is interested in representing my novel! The moment felt surreal, like a dream coming to life. We talked about the story, the revisions she envisions, and the potential she sees in my work. It’s the validation I’ve been hoping for, a sign that all the hard work is paying off.

Hearing someone else speak passionately about my characters and plot is incredibly uplifting. It’s a reminder that the story I’ve nurtured for so long can resonate with others. The agent's insights were spot on, and I’m excited to dive into the next round of revisions with her guidance.

This milestone is teaching me about the importance of persistence and the power of belief. There were many moments when I doubted myself, but I pushed through, and now, it’s paying off. It’s also a lesson in patience—finding the right agent took time, but it was worth the wait.

I’m aware that there’s still a long way to go. Revising with the agent’s input, preparing the manuscript for submission to publishers, and navigating the next steps in this journey. But today, I’m celebrating this victory.

For now, I’m savoring this moment of success and looking forward to the exciting road ahead. My story has found an advocate, and together, we’ll work towards bringing it into the world.
